TP4216 - Kinder Low

The Kinder Low trig pillar sits on the plateau of Kinder Scout. It is located in the south-west corner, just north of Edale Rocks. It is most commonly accessed via the Jacobs Ladder footpath, and as it lies on the Pennine Way, it becomes a very popular destination for walkers. It is also passed on any walk that follows Kinder Scouts edges around the south-west corner, and therefore on most trips to see Kinder Downfall. The trig pillar of Kinder Low can also be accessed easily by directly ascending Kinder Low itself. Many walkers mistakenly believe that this trig pillar marks the summit of Kinder Scout, however the true summit actually lies north-east of here, further into the heart of the plateau, and is not marked by a trig pillar.
